About The Owner
For Sam Klap, landscaping is more than a profession—it’s a lifelong calling. As a second-generation landscaper, Sam’s education began in the garden, literally taking his first steps while his mother tended to clients’ annuals.
His path has been defined by a deep commitment to land care. From his early years on family crews and summer landscaping while studying at the University of Victoria, to cultivating community gardens and earning his Organic Horticulture Specialist Certificate, Sam has approached every project with a learner’s mindset. Since founding his own company in 2016 and relocating to the Cowichan Valley in 2019, he has collaborated with industry leaders and formally trained horticulturists. Today, Sam brings those decades of refined best practices and “big-hearted” service to gardens across Southern Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.
